Everything You Need to Know About CryptoBatz by Ozzy Osbourne

Meta Title: Ozzy Osbourne's CryptoBatz, Rare Biting Ability, and the Future

Meta Description: Sutter Systems collaborated with Ozzy Osbourne to produce CryptoBatz, a collection of 9,666 pixel-art bats. Learn more about this now.

CryptoBatz is a group of 9,666 blockchain-dwelling bats commanded by Ozzy Osbourne and developed by Sutter Systems, a group of NFT-obsessed geeks. These 9,666 non-fungible tokens are a chance to buy a one-of-a-kind piece of collector's item art produced by one of our generation's most renowned rock heroes and heavy metal musicians.

The dev team at NFT Studio Sutter Systems wanted to try something new, difficult, and that the general public had never seen before. Every CryptoBat possesses a unique skill: the capacity to bite an NFT from a separate blue-chip project and generate a "mutantbat" with both tokens’ DNA.

Every CryptoBatz is only allowed to bite once. So, CryptoBatz NFT owners need to select wisely, for the mutant bat you produce will be determined by what you bite. You must keep both the CryptoBat and the target in the same wallet to bite from various blue-chip victim initiatives. The biting utility will launch soon after the minting process for public sale begins.

Let’s explore what this project has to offer and what Ozzy Osbourne's CryptoBatz allows you to enjoy.

Ozzy Osbourne's CryptoBatz: A Brief Overview

Ozzy Osbourne's CryptoBatz collection is his first foray into non-fungible tokens (NFTs). In January, the Prince of Darkness debuted 9,666 distinct NFT CryptoBatz, a homage to the notorious incident in which he bit the head off a bat during a 1982 show in Des Moines, Iowa. According to the musician, this will be a unique and mental project for NFT lovers.

CryptoBatz: The Birth

For a while, Ozzy tried to join in on the NFT fun. After numerous futile efforts to get his own, he begged Sharon (his wife and manager) for a Bored Ape for Christmas, but she declined. Therefore, Ozzy decided to start his own NFT line.

CryptoBatz is an insane initiative for NFT collectors and admirers, according to Ozzy. The design is a chance to own a piece of art legacy that pays homage to one of his most legendary and iconic onstage moments.

MutantBatz: The Ability to Evolve

The new line, designed by Osbourne and inspired by the now-infamous moment, is now available for purchase and has unique world-first functionality in the NFT space.

According to an official announcement from CryptoBatz Twitter, each CryptoBat will provide owners with a one-of-a-kind opportunity to produce an extra NFT by enabling a function that allows their purchase to "bite" and merge with another NFT from their digital wallet.

The groundbreaking feature, dubbed “MutantBatz,” would allow owners to blend the features of two different projects, rendering MutantBatz a rare gift for NFT collectors. Up to this point, Bored Ape Yacht Club, SupDucks, Cryptotoadz, and a fourth mystery organization have all linked together as part of the endeavor to combine NFTs.

The project's pre-sale began in the CryptoBatz Discord channel, with 2,500 confirmed CryptoBat pre-sale whitelist passes accessible only through the same Discord channel.

AncientBatz: The Future of CryptoBatz

Alongside the new NFT line, Osbourne plans to introduce AncientBat non-fungible tokens, a scavenger hunt for CryptoBatz owners that will see the virtual Batz distributed throughout the world in hidden locations. Unlike its CryptoBatz cousins, each AncientBat will be able to bite up to 100 times. Therefore, this will give them unparalleled power to generate 100 MutantBatz.

Ozzy's entry into the NFT and crypto industry comes at the conclusion of a year that has seen the world's top artists adopt the genre and enter the NFT space. Kings of Leon's current album "When You See Yourself" was published in NFT format in March, and Grimes auctioned off ten pieces of original works under the banner WarNymph Collection Vol. One, which went for thousands of dollars apiece.

Ozzy Osbourne's CryptoBatz: The Hack

In the midst of rising non-fungible token (NFT) sales, heavy metal star Ozzy Osbourne recently launched his CryptoBatz collection, which consists of 9,666 digital bats modeled after Osbourne's character.

People warned about a possible phishing scam related to CryptoBatz just three days after Osbourne's digital artifacts were on sale. The fake link that is allegedly emptying cryptocurrency wallets was apparent in tweets sent by Osbourne's NFT project's official account.

The team put Osbourne's collection for sale on the Discord NFT marketplace. The project recently changed the URL that brought potential purchasers to the purchase page. Fraudsters took advantage of the new URL and created a phony Discord server using the old one.

The tweets that contained an obsolete link to the CryptoBatz Discord page were not deleted. While the tweets have now been removed, screenshots of them have gone viral on social media.

Users and owners who clicked on this old URL on CryptoBatz's official account became victims of the fraud. Users were prompted to link their cryptocurrency wallets after clicking on a fraudulent link that requested them to authenticate their crypto holdings.

The total number of "community members" shown on the bogus Discord website was 1,330, which is thought to represent the number of persons who had been defrauded at the time.

Ozzy Osbourne's CryptoBatz: The Future

The crypto industry was equally enthusiastic and suspicious when word came that Ozzy Osbourne would be releasing his own NFT line in January. Celebrity NFTs have a poor name, with some high-profile figures launching subpar editions that fail miserably. CryptoBatz, on the other hand, quickly proved to be more than simply another superstar money-making scheme.

The project's Discord server exploded in popularity as word of Osbourne's NFT collection circulated. Early participants were eligible for a whitelist pass, which would allow them to mint CryptoBats before the general sale.

Over 100,000 individuals had joined the Discord channel by the time the public minting began. Over 80% of the 9,666 CryptoBatz inventory was distributed to active Discord users, assisting the project in establishing a solid community from the start.

For whitelist participants, CryptoBatz was first coined for 0.08 ETH. The remaining bats were sold in a Dutch bidding system, with prices beginning at 1.66 ETH. Prices for CryptoBatz on the resale market have been stable since the mint, seldom falling below 1 ETH.

This goes to show that CryptoBatz, with its rare attributes, will likely see a brighter future in the coming days. Moreover, with the introduction of the AncientBat collection and the ability to bite 100s of NFTs, CryptoBatz and Ozzy Osbourne will have a smoother road ahead.
