Matrica Unveils ‘Flash’ Feature for Showcasing NFTs on Telegram

Matrica Labs just released a new update called ‘Flash,’ which will enable Telegram users in any group to show off their verified digital assets from several blockchains, all verified by Matrica.

Matrica, a platform that offers a range of token-gating, voting, and NFT-based verification services, hopes the free feature will encourage conversations around digital assets and crypto, community building, and increased knowledge about non-fungible tokens.

Besides Flash, the company is also introducing a Token Gating Bot, a multi-gating tool that lets users control access to different groups based on the digital assets they hold. It’s currently available for digital assets on Bitcoin, Solana, and Ethereum. Furthermore, the bot provides NFT sales notifications so users can stay on top of what’s happening in the market.

Matrica is known for its digital asset-based services on Discord. It offers users an NFT wallet to manage digital assets, auto-verification services, tools to detect listed and staked NFTs and to use NFTs to vote on onchain proposals. NFT holders can also use Matrica to view their entire digital asset collection, including details like the status of their NFTs and marketplace listings.

Telegram Has Become an Important Platform for Web3

Telegram is a cloud-based social media and instant messaging service that uses encryption to guarantee user privacy. Launched in August 201, it has since become one of the most important messaging services in the world, boasting over 950 million monthly active users as of July 2024.

Unsurprisingly, Telegram has also become a critical platform for Web3 users, crypto enthusiasts, and NFT holders over the years. At Rarity Sniper, we’ve covered several articles about Telegram in Web3. Here are three of the most notable stories.

First, on October 5th, Telegram announced that a new feature called ‘Gifts’ will allow users to transform images into non-fungible tokens that are stored on the TON blockchain. TON is a Layer 1 blockchain that was co-founded by Nikolai Durov, who also played a critical role in creating Telegram.

Next, about a month ago, the co-founder of Animoca Brands, Yat Sui, said publicly that he believes Telegram games and mini-apps could lead to large-scale adoption of Web3 technologies. The game he cited as an example was ‘Hamster Kombat,’ a wildly popular “clicker” game that surpassed 300 million users only months after release.

Finally, about a year ago, Telegram announced the launch of TON Space, a feature that allows users to integrate a self-custodial wallet into Telegram’s chat application. The wallet uses the TON blockchain, which can also be accessed on the Telegram app.

Telegram’s emphasis on decentralization and giving users control of their data has made it extremely popular among crypto enthusiasts. The latest features from Matrica, Flash and the Token Gated Bot, are two new additions that will likely be embraced by the Web3 community. At Rarity Sniper, we’ll keep a lookout for any updates to the story.
