A graphic designer from Wales named Ashley Crossland has made around $618,000 with a collection of Cardano-based non-fungible tokens.
The ‘Stag Alliance‘ NFT collection launched in March 2022, and contains 7,200 unique NFTs featuring artwork of anthropomorphized deer. Despite the bear market, the collection’s attractive art and literary lore have helped it foster a Web3 community that continues to gain momentum.
Crossland told the BBC that he had always been a fan of “art and technology,” but that the idea of digital collectability is what first attracted him to the NFT space. Since the launch of the project, individual Stag Alliance NFTs have sold for as high as $8,000 a piece.
Here are some things Stag Alliance attributes to helping it thrive in a bear market:
- The team does not pump its value through staking, raffles, sweeping its own floor, or releasing “unnecessary” tokens.
- The team is focused on revenue sharing opportunities while abiding by legal guidelines.
- The project’s collectability is built around art, lore, and a strong community.
Beside the artwork, Crossland collaborated with writer Jameel Sandham to include backstories and create a mythical world called ‘Elderworld.‘ The project’s lore is even being turned into a book, which is currently in the works.
Moving forward, the team said they have a huge community online that they get a lot of ideas from, and that they have plans to expand their fantasy world so “that millions can enjoy.” Both artists are also passionate about the Cardano blockchain and its growing NFT ecosystem.
NFT Projects Pump Despite Overall Market Trends
The success of Stag Alliance over the past year is a huge win for its founders and community. But Stag Alliance isn’t the only NFT project that’s been building in the bear market. At Rarity Sniper, we’ve covered several NFT success stories recently. Here are the top three headlines.
First, two weeks ago, we reported about the meteoric rise in the floor price of Bitcoin Frogs, a frog-themed NFT project on Bitcoin Ordinals. As frog-mania swept the NFT space, Bitcoin Frogs surpassed top collections like the Bored Ape Yacht Club and Gods Unchained in total sales volume.
Next, on May 10th, Elon Musk posted a meme on Twitter using the Milady Maker NFT collection, causing the collection’s floor price to jump from 3.8 ETH to 7.3 ETH in a few hours. Milady Maker is an NFT collection of 9,825 unique anime-style NFTs.
Lastly, about a month ago, Memeland’s Captainz NFTs had a stellar week, racking up 2,429 ETH in total trading volume. Its floor price also soared by 18% to reach 7.89 ETH. Since then, its floor price has continued to rise and currently sits at 8.9 ETH.
In 2023, several NFT projects have gained traction to become major players in the space. Whether Stag Alliance can keep up its success over the long run remains to be seen. But for now, things certainly look positive for Ashley Crosslands, Jameel Sandham, and the community they’ve created.
