Darewise Entertainment and Animoca Brands Japan just announced a new collaboration with Honda Motor Company. The partnership will see the companies work together to create vehicle and transportation-related digital assets and gameplay in Life Beyond, a AAA science fiction gaming metaverse from Darewise.

One of the goals is to integrate the craftsmanship of Honda into the virtual planet Dolos, where users of the metaverse work to build a new civilization. Besides collaborating to bring new gaming assets and gameplay to Life Beyond, the companies will also launch Ordinals NFTs that feature Honda products.

Life Beyond is a blockchain-based MMO metaverse powered by a player-driven tokenized economy that lets players participate in a complex society. The free-to-play online title was first teased in 2019, before being released in 2023. The game gives players true ownership over their in-game digital assets, and has a focus on interoperability. With the latest partnership, players will be able to use NFTs created by Honda to traverse the world of Dolos.

Darewise is a Web3 gaming company with offices in Barcelona, Paris, and London. It boasts veterans of the AAA games industry, including game director Benjamin Charbit (Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag), art director Christian Bravery (the Fable Series, Black & White), game director Marc Albinet (Assassin’s Creed Unity), and tech lead Samuel Kahn (Snowdrop Engine). In 2022, 70% of the company was acquired by Animoca Brands.

Animoca Brands Japan is a subsidiary of Animoca Brands Corporation Limited. It works with Japanese sports teams, artists, athletes, game companies, and major publishers and brands to create strategies for adapting intellectual property into Web3 with the goal of providing a link between Japanese IP and fans around the world.

Animoca Brands Continues to Make Web3 News

For fans of Life Beyond, the recent partnerships are exciting news and should enhance the gameplay of the MMO metaverse. But it certainly isn’t the first move we’ve seen from Animoca Brands, the Hong-Kong-based Web3 gaming and VC company, in recent months. In fact, there are few companies as active in Web3 as Animoca Brands.

Below are some of the top headlines from Animoca Brands over the past six months:

As of July 2022, Animoca Brands had a valuation of $5.9 billion. Since then, the company has shown consistent growth and an expanded portfolio of partners and global projects. Notably, Animoca Brands has shifted its primary focus towards Web3 gaming.

Many industry experts anticipate a significant surge in Web3 gaming in 2024, and if this trend materializes, Animoca Brands is expected to lead the way in this transformative movement. At Rarity Sniper, we’ll be on the lookout for any updates to the story.
