Paris Hilton is back in Web3 news with the launch of her latest non-fungible token collection in partnership with The Sandbox metaverse.
The Paris Hilton Avatar collection is scheduled to be released on May 31st, 2023. It consists 5,555 unique playable avatars with varying traits and rarity rankings. Each avatar shows off different Hilton styles over the years, from luxury fashion gowns to holiday costumes, and the avatars have traits like DJ headphones, fairy wings, and gloves, and vary in rarity.
The NFT cost 100 $SAND (The Sandbox’s native currency), or around $50 USD at the time of writing. According to the press release, there are seven exclusive 1:1 NFTs in the collection that will give holders access to Hilton’s concert at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles on June 7, 2023.
The Paris Hilton Avatar collection will happen in three stages:
- On May 31st, 2023, Hilton’s original Web3 community and NFT holders gain access.
- Then the Sandbox LAND and Avatar holders and Animoca Brands ecosystem members registered via heymint.xyz can mint.
- Finally, a public sale will let anyone mint up to four avatars per wallet based on availability.
11:11 Media, Hilton’s global media company, is spearheading the launch. The company aims to elevate creators, brands and IP by through storytelling, content, experiences, and products, and has been increasingly bullish on Web3 in recent months.
The COO and co-founder of The Sandbox said that fans are “excited that they’ll soon be able to equip their new avatars to show off in the metaverse.”
