Yuga Labs Announces Web3 ‘Open House’ Event in Hong Kong

Yuga Labs, the Web3 studio behind Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), just announced it is hosting an inaugural Open House event on November 5th in Kai Tak, Hong Kong. The ‘Yacht Club Open House‘ invites visitors from around the globe to enter the world of Web3 via one of the most powerful NFT studios on the planet.

The event will include panel discussions by industry leaders, games, virtual experiences, networking events, music, and the chance to mix with fellow NFT and crypto fans, creators, and collectors. Some of the other topics on the table include the future of Web3 gaming, IP rights of digital assets, and how to expand possibilities for designers, creators, artists, and museums beyond the physical world.

The event is part of Yuga Labs’ broader vision to boost mass Web3 adoption around the world. Listed below are a few of the speakers scheduled for the Yacht Club Open House:

  • Yat Siu: Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Web3 gaming and venture capital firm Animoca Brands.
  • DaProducer: Grammy-nominated producer.
  • Micheal Figge: Chief Creative Officer at Yuga Labs.
  • Eric Reid: General Manager of the Otherside Metaverse at Yuga Labs.

According to Daniel Alegre, the CEO of Yuga Labs, the Open House will bring like-minded people together to discuss the nature of music, gaming, and storytelling that will shape the future of Web3.

Yuga Labs is the parent company of BAYC, Meebits, CryptoPunks, 10KTF, and the Otherside Metaverse. Notably, the Open House will occur immediately after ‘ApeFest,‘ a sold-out event for holders that promises “three days of meetings and mayhem“ between November 3rd and 5th, also in Hong Kong.

Tickets for the Open House are open to the public and available on a first-come-first-serve bases through NFT ticketing company Tokenproof.

Yuga Labs Remains Busy Through Bear Market

Like most NFT studios this year, Yuga Labs has seen the price of its NFT collections dip in value in accordance with the bear market. But that hasn’t stopped what some consider to be the most important Web3 studio in the game from making big moves.

At Rarity Sniper, we’ve covered dozens of articles about Yuga Labs innovating in the space to bring value to its holders and draw more users into Web3. Here are some of the top headlines from Yuga Labs in 2023:

An Open House event that invites members from the public into Yuga Labs’ world is somewhat rare. When it comes to events, the company typically leans towards token-gated experiences for its NFT holders.

But by hosting the Open House, Yuga Labs is showing that it’s concerned with more than just its own community, but with the Web3 space as a whole. At Rarity Sniper, we’ll be following up in November to see if the event is a hit.
