Hell’s Kitchen Unveils New ‘Fork Off’ Game in The Sandbox

Hell’s Kitchen, Gordon Ramsay’s popular cooking show, is launching a new experience called ‘Fork Off’ in The Sandbox metaverse.

The objective of the single-player arcade game is to earn as many points as possibly by completing cooking-related quests and collecting coins. Players must balance speed with caution as they dodge lava and avoid fire in an increasingly chaotic kitchen. To spice things up, a large, animated Gordon Ramsay head shouts insults and tries to motivate players throughout — much like he does in real life.

The game has a total of 14 quests divided into three categories: Normal, Adventure, and Hardcore. The Normal Quest consists of collecting ingredients for specific dishes, while the Adventure Quests sends players to gather five pieces of “fresh meat,” which only become available after passing certain thresholds.

Users can also earn Ethos Points (EP) and $SAND tokens along the way, and they have the chance to win a rare Chef’s Flaming Boots NFT. Alpha Pass NFT holders can earn more EP, which increases their odds of winning a weekly raffle.

Furthermore, people who hold any of the following NFTs can mint a maximum of two free avatars from the Hell’s Kitchen collection: The Sandbox LAND, The Doggies Avatar, People of Crypto Avatar, Steve Aoki Avatar, Kuniverse Avatar, Care Bears Avatar, The Playboy Party People Avatar, or the Madball’s Avatar.

The Sandbox is a virtual metaverse where players can own, build, and monetize virtual real-estate. The company launched in 2011 as a 2D world-building game and released its 3D blockchain-based metaverse in 2021. It is a subsidiary of Animoca Brands.

The Sandbox Keeps Building Despite Setbacks

The last couple of years have been tough on metaverse projects, and The Sandbox is no exception. Back in November 2021, its native cryptocurrency $SAND hit an all-time high of $8.40. Fast forward to today, and the price is hovering around $0.27, a decrease of over 96%.

However, despite the setbacks, The Sandbox has continued to build, form new partnerships, and bring value to holders. At Rarity Sniper, we’ve covered several recent stories about The Sandbox. Here are some of the latest headlines:

As you can see, The Sandbox has been busy forming relationships and releasing new initiatives over the last year. If the crypto market recovers and enters a bull market, as many of us hope and expect it will, it will be interesting to see if projects like The Sandbox can regain their former momentum.

In the meantime, we’ll have to wait to see how things unfold. However, the launch of a new Web3 game by one of the world’s most famous chefs could boost The Sandbox’s prospects moving forward.
