Italian sports car manufacturer Lamborghini has partnered with Animoca Brands to launch a Web3 collectible and racing platform called ‘Fast ForWorld.’ According to the announcement, the platform will allow users to play, interact, and collect digital collectibles while receiving rewards for engagement. It will launch on November 7th, and users will need to purchase a Lamborghini Revuelto digital car to access the platform.

When users purchase a digital Lamborghini Revuelto, they will also receive a Genesis Capsule, which will unlock benefits on Fast ForWorld. Upon launch, the platform will feature a 3D wallet where users can store digital items. There will also be interoperable features where users can interact and play with their digital vehicles.

As part of the partnership, fans will be able to race Lamborghini digital vehicles in Motorverse games like Torque Drift 2, REVV Racing, the Motorverse Hub, and Fast ForWorld’s proprietary experience. Motorverse is an Animoca Brands-pioneered open ecosystem and community for digital vehicles and racing games, where fans of trading can play games and trade digital vehicles.

Of the partnership, Yat Siu, the co-founder of Animoca Brands, told Cointelegrah that it allows them to create a “truly interconnected Web3 gaming experience” for fans of motorsports and gamers alike. Lamborghini collectibles will be accessible and playable across various virtual environments, including two under the Animoca Brands flagship.

Lamborghini added in an X post, “In partnership with [Animoca Brands], [Motorverse], and [Gravitaslabs], we’re pushing the boundaries of digital engagement. Don’t miss the details for the interoperable Lamborghini Revuelto and Genesis Capsule launch on TheMotorverse — the journey starts now!”

Lamborghini Takes to Web3

While many companies abandoned their initial Web3 ventures after a slowdown in the market, Lamborghini has pressed on. The Italian sports car company has launched NFT collections, paired cars with non-fungible tokens, and released ultra-rare NFTs that unlocked carbon fiber from space. Here are some of the headlines:

Web3 holds many benefits for Lamborghini that it does for other companies: the ability to reach a younger, more tech savvy audience; an additional revenue stream through digital collectibles, which cost very little to produce; and a way to appeal to a different type of collector, one who may not have the cash to buy an actual Lamborghini but still wants to experience the thrill of owning one of the company’s products.

And, of course, there is the culture of Web3 as well. When coins and tokens are shooting to the moon, many participants default to the “Wen Lambo” phrase, meaning when will their bags rise high enough to buy one of the fabled sports cars. It makes sense then that Lamborghini would continue to try new Web3 projects, even as the market is in a lull phase.

Time will tell if this latest project succeeds. But given the participants involved and the cache they have, we think there’s a good chance that it will.
