Unstoppable Domains (UD), the leading one-stop shop for Web3 domains, just partnered with a thriving social commerce virtual metaverse called ‘Metropolis World‘ for several initiatives aimed at empowering creators and onboarding users into Web3.
Metropolis World is a 360° curated metaverse blending e-commerce, art, gaming, property ownership, and experiences in the real and digital world. The VR world consists of different NFT buildings, each designed by an in-house team of artists and owned by users who share voting rights and other privileges.
To build out its digital world, the platform has already onboarded over 40 Founding Citizens, including Steve Aoki, 3LAU, Time Out, Dillon Francis, Diplo, Fvckrender, Young Gravy, ThankYoux and others. They have plans to create a “digi-physical” marketplace that consists of curated art shows, music festivals, gaming, e-commerce and limited-edition NFT drops.
According to a press release shared with Rarity Sniper, the partnership comes with new initiatives, such as linking Metropolis World NFT avatars to unlock personalized domain names on UD. There is also a clothing collection forthcoming from The Unique Fashion Line that will combine “style with digital identity.“
The CEO and Co-Founder of Metropolis World, Rashid Ajami, said that “Metropolis World is a canvas for limitless creativity,“ and the partnership could bring “us closer to mass adoption” of digital spaces and identities. Sandy Carter, COO of UD, added that she believes the partnership will help onboard all types of users into Web3.
Unstoppable Domains, founded in 2018, offers decentralized blockchain-minted Web3 domain names that give people control over their digital identities and replace lengthy crypto addresses with readable names. Users can purchase Web3 domains such as .crypto, .NFT, .Polygon, .ENS and more and login to transact with wallets, marketplaces, crypto exchanges, and apps.
Unstoppable Domains Continues to Innovate
For Metropolis World and its users, the partnership with Unstoppable Domains is a big win. According to the UD website, the platform has registered over 3.7 million domains and has formed over 1,000 partnerships thus far. Furthermore, its been steady building its brand throughout 2023.
