Unstoppable Domains, a leading blockchain-based domain name service provider, just launched the ‘Unstoppable Marketplace’ — the first and largest marketplace ever built on the dApp Store Kit, initially incubated by Polygon Labs.
The Unstoppable Marketplace will let users register their apps onchain and explore other available apps via their digital identities. It contains more than 860 applications, including five featured wallets and five featured applications, as well as a toolkit for dApps that want to integrate digital identity on their apps.
Unstoppable Domains provides users with a Web3 identity — a domain name they can use to seamlessly send and receive cryptocurrency, create decentralized websites and profiles, log in with their crypto wallets, and more. It currently supports over 170 wallet integrations and has registered over 3.6 million domains. Now decentralized dApps, metaverses, and games can reach the growing Unstoppable community by showcasing their Web3 applications in its new marketplace.
According to a press release shared with Rarity Sniper, the new marketplace is kicking off its launch by giving users 30% off a .polygon domain name (the discount code is available on the Marketplace page).
Sandy Carter, COO and Head of Business Development at Unstoppable Domains, said that by combining “user-owned digital identity with the interoperability of more than 850 user applications, we’re giving people the power to own their identity wherever they go.” President of Blockchain.com, Lane Kasselman, added that with the “Unstoppable Marketplace, hundreds of ways to use Web3 domains are available at user’s fingertips.”
The press release noted that some of the featured apps include Web3 apps that merge digital identity with AI tech, including Blockchain.com, Alchemy, Crypto.com, Polygon, and Phantom. Users can also enter the marketplace with their Unstoppable Domain names and leave reviews.
Unstoppable Domains Has Become a Leader in Web3
In July 2022, Unstoppable Domains announced it had closed a $65 million Series A funding round at $1 billon valuation — making it the latest “unicorn” in Web3. The same year, Forbes named Unstoppable Domains one of America’s Best Startup Employers. In other words, while the rest of Web3 was trudging through a bear market, Unstoppable Domains has been carving out its piece of the pie. Here are three of the most recent stories.
First, about a month ago, Unstoppable Domains partnered with MetaRides for the ‘MetaRides x Unstoppable Domains’ NFT collection. The NFTs can be used in MetaRides Racing, a 3D, multi-player, blockchain-based racing game created by Electronic arts. They can also be brought in and out of several other metaverses.
Next, in March, Unstoppable Domains announced it was launching a messaging service for domain owners at the end of the year. The new feature will be completely encrypted and has several safety features, like the ability to block users.
Finally, in January, Unstoppable Domains partnered with Ready Player Me, a cross-game digital avatar platform, to let users create digital identies that can be moved across metaverses. Users can upload a photo of themselves to generate an avatar of their likeness, which will then travel with them across Web3.
