Snoop Dogg is back in Web3 news with the release of a tasty summer treat based off his Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT.

Yesterday, July 24th, the iconic West Coast rapper and Web3 enthusiast dropped ‘Dr. Bombay Ice Cream’ in partnership with the Happi Foodi company. The NFT-inspired ice cream is the flagship product line of Bosslady Foods — the parent company created from the partnership — as Snoop continues to develop his brand around his Bored Ape intellectual property (IP).

The ice cream comes in seven flavors with names you’d only expect from one of the world’s most prolific rhymers: Cocoa Cream Cookie Dream, Bonus Track Brownie, Iced Out Orange Cream, Rollin‘ In the Dough, S‘more Vibes, Tropical Sherbert Swizzle, and Syrupy Waffle Sundaze.

Snoop said that for him, “ice cream is more than just a snack…it’s a way to chill, relax, and get happy.” He hopes that Dr. Bombay Ice Cream will bring a smile to people’s faces and ease their minds. He added that Dr. Bombay is “like a son and you always want your kids to be more successful than you are…I’m “building a lifestyle brand — starting with ice cream.”

Sam Rockwell, the CEO of Happi Foodi, said his company is always looking to “develop products and partner with personalities and brands that embody authenticity.” The company has enjoyed “working side by side with Snoop to create Dr. Bombay Ice Cream as true partners.”

For now, Dr. Bombay Ice Cream is available in 3,500 select Walmart stores around the U.S. In the following months, it is expected to expand to Winn Dixie, Albertsons/Safeway, Shoprite, and Gopuff. The tub of IRL grub costs $4.98 at Walmart.
